About us
The Bangalore golfing group (BGG) is a voluntary assemblage of avid golfers hailing from varying walks of life who all are united in their pursuit of golf and friendship. Conceptualised and founded by Mr Nripen Kumar Das, an inveterate sports enthusiast, fondly referred to as “Dada” by others, BGG was formally instituted in August 2017 in the premises of Touche’ Golf Academy with a handful of members. Since then, the BGG has grown from strength to strength and has carved out its rightful space in the golfing milieu of Bangalore. Not tied down to any particular club, the opportunities for members are varied, challenging and informally educative, thus providing a friendly environment for improving golfing acumen, besides widening own circle of friendship. If you have been waiting for the right place and environs to become an amateur golfer, BGG has all the answers for you.
OUR CHARTER
Besides an active Golfing fellowship, which Golfers are well known for, the BGG will function with the following broad objectives
- a. Promote the game of Golf across all sections of society and popularize it especially among youngsters
- b. Hold Golf tournaments from time to time, both open and for members of the BGG
- c. Endeavour to raise funds through tournaments for appropriate philanthropic causes and promoting the game of Golf.
- d. Teach correct golfing rules and etiquettes to member golfers
- e. Assist members in obtaining an accredited handicap card
- f. Extend technical guidance for selection of golf kits, accessories, repair to kits etc., to all members
